This comprehensive 14-hour, 2-day course covers a wide range of topics essential for effective, quality resident care. Students will gain valuable knowledge and skills in areas including:
- Effective hand hygiene
- Assessing residents
- Managing resistance to cares
- Verbal and nonverbal communication
- Understanding traumatic brain injury, developmental disabilities, and seizures
- Checking, assessing, and interpreting vital signs
- Recognizing and addressing conditions like schizophrenia and sleep disturbances
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Transfers, elimination, and mechanical lift use
- Conducting skin and falls assessments
This interactive class is held in person in a welcoming, hands-on learning environment, where participants will receive high-quality, affordable training that meets state regulations.
